It's a really neat way to make use of an older baked goods that might otherwise end up in the bin. This approach ensures nothing is wasted, and such a breakfast will surely satisfy your household.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#c69f74\" class=\"has-inline-color\">French toast bake - what kind of bread to choose?&nbsp;<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose whatever you have to hand. I never purchase baked goods specifically to prepare this recipe. I simply use what's currently in the cupboards. The texture might vary slightly depending on the type of baked goods you use, but it will be delicious regardless! I most often use sourdough bread or whole grain rolls with challah or a croissant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baked French toast will certainly turn out scrumptious with options like challah, brioche, croissant, or Parisian bread. But as I mentioned before, my priority is to use what I have at home. Therefore, the choice is yours to make.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#c69f74\" class=\"has-inline-color\">What to serve your baked toast with?&nbsp;<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I recommend a small amount of maple syrup or powdered sugar. Additionally, you can use your favourite fruits, not necessarily apples and cranberries as in the recipe. Although, I do recommend this combination, especially now that fresh cranberries are readily available.
