Baked apples with vanilla cream and nuts are my discovery of this winter. This dessert tastes so good it’s hard to believe how easy it is to make.

Ingredients
2big apples(e.g. szara reneta)
4tsp cherry jam
2tsp chopped walnuts
Cream
3tbsp mascarpone
1tsp icing sugar
1tsp vanilla extract(or seeds from a vanilla pod)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Wash the apples, cut them in half and remove the cores (just enough to remove the seeds). Place them in a baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove the apples from the oven, spoon the cherry jam into the hollowed centres and bake for another 10 minutes.
Mix all the cream ingredients until smooth and well combined.
Remove the apples from the oven and transfer them to serving dishes. While still warm, top each apple with a portion of cream and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Enjoy!
