Stuffed eggs with ham | No mayonnaise

Stuffed eggs with ham are a quick and easy-to-prepare appetizer that is essential on the Easter table. Although these eggs are perfectly suited for parties and other occasions, they are perhaps most strongly associated with the festive period. That's why I'm now sharing with you my favourite recipe for stuffed eggs. Made with just a handful of ingredients, this version omits the mayonnaise, making it undoubtedly a bit lighter than the traditional ones. Preparing them takes just half an hour, so you can comfortably leave it until the last minute.

This is a great chance to get creative. You can prepare a larger quantity of eggs and filling from a single recipe, and then add various types of decorations to make the eggs look even more impressive on the festive table. Below, you'll find a few ideas, but the possibilities are endless. Regardless of the chosen decoration, remember that each addition affects not only the appearance but also the taste of the entire dish.

  • Sprouts - I recommend choosing, for example, radish sprouts for their pink colour.
  • Cress - an obvious choice during Easter, and the young leaves will add a characteristic spicy taste.
  • Smoked ground paprika - will add a bit of colour as well as a hint of smoky flavour.
  • Edible flower petals - colourful pansy petals will be perfect to enliven the eggs. Remember to source flowers specifically intended for culinary use or from your own garden.

Stuffed eggs with ham without mayonnaise are a great alternative to traditional recipes, perfect for the Easter table or any other gathering. Thanks to the simplicity of preparation and the possibility to vary the fillings, this simple appetiser will surely satisfy everyone.
